BY YOUR WORDS GAME 1: WORDS
OBJECTIVE
Get rid of all cards.
DEAL
Deal and play is clockwise and the turn to deal passes to the left after each hand. The dealer deals 4 ‘words’ to each player, one at a time, and puts the rest of the pack face down to form a ‘draw pile’ and one faced up at the centre to start a ‘play pile’.
PLAY
The player to the dealers left begins by playing a card faced up on top of the play pile reading out the affirmation on the card above the line.

POSSIBLE PLAYS ARE
*any card with the same colour as the previous.

*any card with the same number/symbol as the previous.

*any grace card.

What if a player hasn’t got the right card?
If you cannot or do not wish to play a ‘word’ at your turn, you draw one ‘word’, from the draw pile instead; having drawn a ‘word’, you are not allowed to play a card on this turn.
What happens when I have one card left?
Alert other players by saying words.

ACTION CARDS

POINTS
‘I AM’ CARDS : 5 points each.
TRIAL AND VICE CARDS : 10 points each.
TRIUMPH AND VIRTUE CRADS : 15 points each.
YOU ARE CARDS : 20 points each.
GRACE CARD : 25 points.

***Anything we put after ‘I am’ is what we believe about ourselves***
AIM: Last player standing
The pace/tempo of this game is decided by the players.
Pick up a card whilst making a positive affirmation.
Each positive affirmation needs to begin with ‘I AM’ followed by the right formation.
A Player is out if;
They hesitate.
Make an affirmation not beginning with ‘I am’.
REpeats what has already been said.
Grace card
Grace cards lets a player who ought to be out; to continue playing. The grace card is not put back in the current deck.
